Scripture and Photo of the Week

Ok, this one is a little behind. Two weeks behind! So sorry about that. Hopefully this won’t be a regular occurrence! Last week I was down with the stomach virus, and this week has been busy with random things. I am feeling much better and nobody else in my family has gotten sick, so I am very grateful for that! The Lord is good! Alright! Without further ado, welcome to the newest Scripture and Photo of the Week!!

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Matthew 7:13-14

Wide Gate: The “wide gate” is referring to the life that many people choose here on earth. Many choose to live at ease, not concerned about spiritual matters and not giving a second thought to God. These people view themselves as their own god and just live for themselves. They tend to give great care and thought to earthly riches not even considering where they might go when they lie on their deathbeds. They bend easily to the worldly and sinful demands of life. Sadly, many people choose this “easy and wide path” of life and end up spending eternity in absolute misery.

Narrow Gate: The “narrow gate” is referring to the life of Christians. This path of life is “narrow and hard” but ultimately leads to spending a beautiful eternity with the Savior of the world. This way of life is harder because they live apart from the world, and have to fight against temptations and worldly sinful things. Many are often killed for their faith and face a lot of hatred. But the reward is so great that it is worth it. The reward is a life that never ends in heaven with Jesus, the ruler of the world.

Jesus is so good, and he invites everyone to come into His fold and live the narrow way of life which offers so much more contentment. That’s why he died for us so that we could ask his forgiveness and become new in Him. No matter how far you’ve gone, Jesus loves you! 💕
